Telangana Budget 2024-25, Key Facts and allocations

Telangana government has introduced it’s maiden budget after assembly elections and vote on account budget ahead of Lok Sabha elections.

Vote on account budget has been introduced with Rs.2,75,891 crores by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. The budget has focused on implementation of its 6 Guarantee schemes. Farmers and Women centric schemes got big allocation in the budget.

Telangana budget allocations department wise

  • For Six Guarantee Schemes: Estimated amount of Rs.53196 crores allocated
  • Industries Department – Rs.2543 crores
  • IT department – Rs.774 crores
  • Panchayati Raj – Rs.40,080 crores
  • Municipal Department – Rs.11692 crores
  • 1000 crores for Musi river front
  • Agriculture Department Rs.19746 crores
  • 1250 crores for construction of buildings for SC and ST Gurukulas
  • SC welfare is Rs.21874 crores
  • ST welfare is Rs.13013 crores
  • Minority welfare is Rs.2262 crores
  • 1546 crores for construction of BC Gurukul buildings
  • BC welfare is Rs.8 thousand crores
  • 21389 crores for education sector
  • 500 crores for the establishment of Telangana Public Schools
  • 500 crores for facilities in universities
  • 11500 crores for medical sector
  • 2418 crores to Gruha Jyothi Scheme
  • 16825 crores to power companies
  • 7740 crores for housing department
  • 28024 crores for irrigation department

The government for the first time allocated 1000 Crore Rupees for the clean up and beautification of Musi River in Hyderabad. BC Welfare and Minority welfare have good allocation. School education and higher education departments got big allocations this time. The government has also announced fulfillment of various vacant jobs including Groups and Police Jobs.
