Good news for the beneficiaries regarding the Employment Guarantee Scheme. The central government has taken a key decision by releasing the salary arrears of the employed workers.
Employment Guarantee Scheme 2300 crores released
The current coalition government has recently approached the central government to request the payment of the pending dues of the Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA). In this context, the Union Ministry of Rural Development has issued an order releasing the arrears of 2300 crores rupees related to employment labour.
The Center has not paid wages to the employed laborers since the month of May. The central government has taken a key decision by releasing the arrears immediately with the help of the state government, in the face of severe shortage of wages or labor for three months.
The released pending amount will be credited to the beneficiary’s account within two weeks.
On the other hand, the employment guarantee working days allotted to the state by the central government has also been increased. The central government has recently taken a decision to increase the working days on the initiative of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
