RBI Launches UPI 123 Pay for making payments without internet

Reserve bank of India has launched its new maiden service pertaining to UPI payment with no internet required specifically designed for feature phone users or remote users where one can transfer amount to any account without internet connectivity.

Follow below steps to transfer the amount

• Type *99# from your feature phone
• Now you can see My Profile’, ‘Send Money’, ‘Receive Money’, ‘Pending Requests’, ‘Check Balance’, ‘UPI PIN’, ‘Transactions’ options on your phone
• For transferring amount you will have to press 1 from your option and select Send Money
• Option to transfer amount using phone number / UPI ID / Account number shall be enabled
• You will have to chose any one payment method from above
• If You chose UPI ID option then you will have to enter UPI of benefciary
• Similarly if you chose phone number, you will have to enter phone number of beneficiary
• If you chose bank account number you will have to enter beneficiary bank account number, IFSC code
• Once the above details are entered, please enter the amount to be transferred
• Then enter your UPI pin and complete the payment
• Finally the amount will be credited to the beneficiary

NOTE: To avail this benefit , users mobile number should be registered with bank account.
