As part of an intensified pulse polio immunisation campaign in India, the pulse polio drops program is being conducted in all the states.
Along with the other states, The health department of Telangana has made wide arrangements for the pulse polio program across the state.
Exclusive drives are being conducted across the state by establishing polio booths. Drives are also being conducted at various primary Health centers , Anganwadis, public schools and various other public areas like bus stands.
The Pulse polio program being conducted all over the state on 3rd March from 8 am till 4 pm.
Parents of the Children between 0-5 age have been asked to visit nearby polio booths to avail the facility to keep their children immune to the polio disease. Two drops shall be given to keep the child immune.
The health workers , Anganwadi helpers have been involved extensively in the pulse polio program. A three day program of immunization shall be held all over. The first day the program is being conducted at polio booths. Second and third day health workers will be visiting the households to cover the missed out children.
