List of Documents accepted for Voting

Vote is our right and if we fail to cast our vote at the right time to the right person, it may deteriorate the democracy of the nation and thereby our future. Hence voting is not just a right it’s our responsibility. So one should not miss casting his/her vote just because of not having voter id. If your name is present in the voter list then you can carry any other alternative identification proofs listed below to cast your vote.

List of accepted documents to cast vote

Please carry any one of the valid proof for voting

Voter ID or any one of the below alternative document proofs.

  1. Driving license
  2. Passport
  3. Aadhaar card
  4. PAN card
  5. MNREGA job card
  6. Smart card issued by RGI under NPR
  7. Passbook with a photograph issued by a state bank or post office
  8. Service identity cards with photographs issued to employees by central/state govt./PSU/public limited company
  9. Pension document with photograph
  10. Health insurance smart cards issued under the scheme of the Ministry of Labour
  11. Official identity cards issued to MPs/MLAs/MLCs, etc
  12. Unique Disability ID (UDID) Card, issued by M/o Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.

How to check your name in voter list

There are many ways to check your name in the voter list, however we are providing one of the approaches here.

Visit the official link here https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in/ and follow any one of the below search criteria.

1st Approach: In the above link you can search using your EPIC (voter card number)

Enter EPIC, Select State and enter captcha code

2nd Approach: In the above link you can search using your complete details in case you do not know your epic (voter card number)

Name, father/husband name, age , gender and search

3rd Approach: To search using Mobile number of it is linked to your voter details

Select your state, language and search by entering your mobile number and captcha

Alternatively you can search your name in the voter lists released for your state in the state portals and you can also search the voter details in the voter helpline mobile app.
