Grama ward volunteers working under the purview of Village Ward Secretariats have been literally with zero work from the last couple of months. The newly formed government though assured them the revised pay of 10k per month , it had kept volunteers aside from their regular activities like pension distribution, welfare schemes.
In this context, there has been wide speculation across the social media on what would the current government do with the existing volunteers and their future job chart.
Amidst all these consequences, finally there is an announcement on grama ward volunteers from TDP Spokesperson Uppalapati Srinivas Chowdhary. He said soon the government would use volunteer services under the revised name ‘Grama Sevak’ and ‘Pattana Sevak’ and this topic would be brought for the discussion during the cabinet meet on 7 August.
Also there will be a new job chart for the volunteers and detailed guidelines will further be released.
