TSRTC has announced good news to the public. Post the launch of the Free travel scheme for women all over the state of Telangana, there has been an upsurge in the number of people travelling in TSRTC buses. Especially big upsurge is seen from women beneficiaries.
Owing to the above situation, there has been demand from the public to increase the number of services. Considering the request from the public, the new government of Telangana has brought in additional bus services available effective from 30th December.
Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has launched the new services on 30th December. The program was held at the Ambedkar statue in NTR Marg of Hyderabad.
New 80 bus services include : 30 express, 30 rajadhani AC and 20 lahari sleeper cum seater non AC services.
Also considering the surge in public transport due to the MahaLakshmi scheme, TSRTC MD sajjanar announced that the government would be procuring another 1050 services by March 2024.
1050 New bus services to include : 400 express, 512 Palle Velugu , 92 lahari sleeper cum seater non AC and 56 AC rajadhani AC services.
As we know the government is providing free of cost travel to all local women, girls and transgenders in all Palle Velugu, Express , Citi ordinary and city metro services. This move to increase the number of bus services will surely help the public in traveling smoothly.
