Tirupati Laddu Controversy which erupted after the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh announced that animal fat was used in the making of Tirupati Laddu by the previous government. In continuation to the same lab report confirming the same went viral on social media which further hurt the sentiments of Hindus across the world.
Many politicians, celebrities and religious gurus condemned the use of buffalo fat, fish oil, pig fat etc in the holy tirupati Laddu.
Meanwhile the government of Andhra Pradesh formed SIT to investigate the matter.
CM orders for the formation of SIT
The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh ordered the formation of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the matter.
He stated a SIT would be formed with IG and an officer with one level above to investigate and find the culprits involved in destroying the sanctity of Tirupati Laddu.
He alleged that the previous government went to procure cheap ghee through reverse tendering which resulted in this. Strict Action would be taken against all those involved in this matter, he added.
He said he had discussed with EO Shyamalarao on the purification activities of the temple.
