Resigned Volunteers in AP request to rejoin

,

Around 2.6 lakh volunteers were once recruited by the previous ycp government to work in the purview of village ward secretariats in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

There had been a lot of criticism and  complaints from the opposition and the public on volunteers being favourable to the ycp government.

It is a known fact that volunteers had a soft corner towards the previous ycp government who recruited them then.

Prior to the elections volunteers had been barred from participating in the election campaign. It was then around 50 to 60 thousand volunteers resigned and few terminated who violated the code of conduct. It was understood that the volunteers had resigned to participate in the election campaign in favour of Ycp.

It was then that the previous government lost badly to the current TDP alliance, leading to no clue on the future of resigned Volunteers.

In this context, the government changed and  the current government assured to continue the volunteers with an increased honorarium of 10 thousand per month. However this would only be applicable for those volunteers who are in service and not resigned.

Many volunteers who earlier resigned are now seen approaching various leaders of the current ruling party to request on rejoining them to the service.

Resigned Volunteers have mentioned the pressure they had undergone prior to elections from then ruling leaders who forced them to resign assuring them on taking back to the service once they win. They are now requesting the local leaders to reconsider them and rejoin them.

Will have to wait and watch how the current government reacts to the same. Stay tuned.
