The Petroleum Department has revealed about the revised prices of Petrol and diesel. Current price slashed by 2 rupees each on liter of petrol and diesel each. According to the Union Oil Ministry, these revised prices of the oil marketing companies will come into effect from 6 am on Friday.
The Petroleum Department has informed that the oil marketing companies have revised the prices of petrol and diesel across the country. The new prices will come into effect from 6 am on March 15. It said that the reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel will bring relief to the consumers and the maintenance costs of 58 lakh goods vehicles, six crore cars and 27 crore two-wheelers running on diesel will be reduced. With the latest decision to reduce the petrol price by ₹2, henceforth the price of a liter of petrol in Delhi will be Rs.94.72; 104.21 in Mumbai; Kolkata will be Rs.103.94 and Chennai will be Rs.100.75. According to the revised prices, the price of a liter of diesel is Rs.87.62 in Delhi and Rs.92.15 in Mumbai; It will be Rs.90.76 in Kolkata and Rs.92.34 in Chennai. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri tweeted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again proved that the welfare and comfort of crores of Indians is always his goal with the reduction of petrol and diesel prices.
