Katamayya Raksha Kavacham Scheme launched in Telangana

Telangana State CM Revanth Reddy has launched a new scheme called Katamayya Raksha Kavacham (Safety kits) for toddy tappers

Addressing the meeting held in Abdullapurmet, CM stated that Toddy Tappers are bound to frequent injuries and this kit will help them as a safety kavach. He distributed the kits to the beneficiaries at Lashkarguda in Abdullapurmet Mandal.

Katamayya Raksha Kavacham or kits were manufactured by IIT Hyderabad. These are being distributed through BC Corporation.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also planted a palm tree, which is the source of income for toddy Tappers. He also interacted with the toddy Tappers and listened to their issues and concerns. The toddy tappers requested CM to support growing Palm forests. They urged the CM to allocate five acres of land in every village for palm farming. CM assured them and ensured them the support from the government.
