In a key statement released by the Chief Minister of Telangana, Hyderabad Metro phase 2 shall be taken up as a joint venture.
Addressing the assembly he stated Hyderabad Phase 2 metro shall be 78 km and will be taken as a Joint venture with state and central government.
Hyderabad Metro Phase 2 Joint Venture details
Below are the areas from where the funding will happen for the phase 2 metro project of Hyderabad.
- 15% will be borne by Union Government
- 35% by State Government
- 45% will be sourced from loan
- Remaining 5% will be through PPP Model
The Chief Minister assured the completion of this crucial project to link the old city with other destinations like Airport as earliest as possible by 2028.
Hyderabad Metro Phase 2 Route Map and Stations
Below are the extension routes covered as part of the Hyderabad Metro Phase 2 Project.
- Nagole – Shamshabad airport via Chandrayangutta in old city
- LB Nagar to HayathNagar via Chintal Kunta
- Miyapur to Ramachandrapuram Via Chanda Nagar and BHEL
- Raidurg to Neopolis via Financial district.
The Chief Minister had already laid the foundation stone for Nagole Shamshabad Metro Corridor which has the following stations: Nagole – LB Nagar – Chandrayangutta – Mailardevpally -P7 Road – Shamshabad Airport.
