Important update for the farmers in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Minister of Agriculture, Kinjarapu Atchannaidu has conducted a crucial review meeting with the officials on Agricultural issues in the state.
He stated that New policy on free crop insurance shall soon be formulated to cover all the farmers in the state during the calamities. The government is planning to pay the premium on an annual basis instead of paying the premium every season to the insurance companies.
He also ordered for the relief activities due to the heavy rains in the state. He asked to initiate measures to pump additional water outside and ensure crops are protected.
He said the government is taking the measures to provide surplus fertilizers to the farmers and 17.50 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizers shall be made available to the farmers. He stated that the state of AP received 50% of its annual rainfall and its great sign for the state and the farmers.
