Blue Aadhaar card for children under five years of age
In 2018, the central government introduced blue Aadhaar cards also called Bal Aadhaar cards for children under five years of age. This Blue Aadhaar card also has 12 digits. But this is not valid after the age of the child exceeds 5 years. In General, the Aadhaar cards we hold include fingerprints and retina details of the cardholder. The unique identification number of this card is also unique to one person.
However, Blue Bal Aadhaar Card does not contain any such information. There will be no special or unique number. It is issued generally basis the birth proof. But these details should be updated after the child grows up and crosses 5 years. Fingerprints should also be updated to UIDAI at the during the update. This card can be used as a document proof at the time of admission in schools.
Blue Aadhaar Card ..how to apply.?
Parents should go to the nearest Aadhaar Card Enrollment Center along with the necessary documents. Address proof and birth certificate of child is necessary to apply for Bal Aadhaar. Application form for blue aadhar has to be filled and all relevant certificates should be attached along with it. Parents should also provide their own Aadhaar information during the application. Mobile numbers of parents should also be provided for Blue Baal Aadhaar Card. Children’s photo will be taken at the registration center. The same photo will be printed on Aadhaar card. Post the scrutiny of all the details and documents, a message will be sent to the specified mobile number. Bal Aadhaar card will be issued within 60 days of verification.
