The Government of Andhra Pradesh has fulfilled yet another poll bound promise to provide Free Gas Cylinder to the eligible poor in the state as part of Deepam 2024 scheme.
A total of 3 free Gas Cylinders shall be provided to all the eligible households every year. One cylinder per 4 months can be availed at zero cost.
What is Free Gas Cylinder 2024 – Deepam Scheme in Andhra Pradesh
Under this scheme BPL Families in the state of Andhra Pradesh will receive three free LPG Gas Cylinders per year. One cylinder can be availed once in four months.
Deepam Scheme 2024 Eligibility – Free Gas Cylinder scheme Eligibility
Below is the Eligibility criteria for availing free Gas Cylinder in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
- The Beneficiary should be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh state.
- Should have a valid white Ration card or BPL card.
- Should hold a valid Aadhar card and bank account with aadhar seeding.
- Only those having gas connection from the following three agencies are eligible for the benefit: Indane, Bharat gas and HP.
Ineligible criteria: Non BPL Families(those not holding white ration cards), government employees, income tax payers are not eligible.
Deepam Scheme 2024 – free Gas Cylinder Booking Process
One can book the free Gas Cylinder effective from 29 October 2024 10 AM. This scheme is being launched on 31st October.
Step 1. Book your cylinder as per your regular process from 29 October.
Step 2. A booking confirmation of the free Gas cylinder shall be received on your mobile number registered with the gas agency.
Step 3. Gas cylinder delivery date will also be mentioned in the SMS along with congratulations message for the free Gas Cylinder.
Step 4. The gas cylinder shall be delivered in 48 hours.

Deepam 2024 – Free Gas Cylinder Payment Status
Beneficiaries should pay the cylinder amount during the delivery of the cylinder. The total amount paid will be reimbursed to the beneficiary bank account within 48 hours of the delivery.
To check the payment status one can check the bank account balance.
