AP Cabinet Key Decisions: Andhra Pradesh Cabinet met today under the leadership of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat. The following decisions were approved in the cabinet meeting.
Decisions approved by the Cabinet
- Ban on Maoists extended for another year.
- GO number 217, 144 pertaining to by animal husbandry and fisheries departments were canceled
- Public auctions have been cancelled in reservoirs and ponds; opportunity has been given for local fishermen for fishing.
- Ban from contesting in the local bodies and Panchayat Raj elections for those having more than 2 children has been lifted.
- MBBS courses with 100 seats in new medical colleges
- New liquor policy in AP from October 1
- Decision has been made to ensure quality supply of liquor at affordable prices.
- AP Govt to print official symbols on pattadar passbooks by deleting photos of former CM.
- AP Cabinet decision to remove land encroachments.
- Revenue officials are ordered to visit the districts. 22 Redressal of any complaints within three months. Till then 22A land registrations have been stopped and investigation on already completed registrations.
Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu has concluded. Many important issues were discussed in this meeting. Minister Parthasarathy spoke to the media after the cabinet meeting. He revealed the issues discussed and decisions taken in this meeting. It has been revealed that registrations will be suspended for three months in the revenue department and passbooks with QR code will be given. The new liquor policy will be implemented in the state from October 1. He said that they will provide quality liquor at a low price. He said that they discussed the issue of what to do with the survey stones with Jagan’s figure and name.He said that the fertility rate is decreasing in the country.. There was a discussion on the issue of decreasing fertility rate in AP as well.
”The cabinet has decided to remove the disqualification rule for having more than two children in local elections. The Cabinet approved the amendment bill to remove this provision. Several ministers suggested to remove Jagan’s figure and name from the survey stones. He said that the ministers said that the then CM spent Rs.700 crores due to the toy craze. The cabinet has decided to ban Maoists for another year. There was a discussion on the liquor policies undertaken by the Vaikapa government and TDP in the past. Changes and additions were also discussed in the Excise system to avoid irregularities. The cabinet has decided to cancel the 217 which is harmful to the interests of the fishermen,” said Parthasarathy.
Those passbooks will be taken back
”Cabinet approves removal of Jagan’s figure and name on survey stones. It has been decided to distribute the new Pattadaru pass books with royal seal. Pass books with figures of Jagan will be taken back. The revenue department submitted a note in the cabinet on re survey. There was also a discussion on the disputes arising out of this. Ministers said that there was concern over the re-survey due to the policy of the previous government. Ministers are of the opinion that disputes will increase in villages due to agitation among land owners. “We have decided to put the re-survey process in abeyance,” he said
Green signal for increasing posts in medical colleges
National Medical Commission has approved the proposal to fill up 380 more posts in addition to the previously sanctioned posts in the new medical colleges built with 150 seats in Vijayanagaram, Rajamahendravaram, Eluru, Machilipatnam and Nandya. Phase- 2 Under Paderu, mark
