AP Cabinet Decisions 2024

AP Cabinet meeting chaired by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu concluded with key outcomes. Cabinet has given nod for the implementation of 5 key items which were first signed by Nara Chandrababu Naidu on his first day of charge.

These are the key decisions approved by the AP Cabinet

  • AP Cabinet approved filling the vacant teaching posts through Mega DSC. The officials have presented the schedule related to the filling of 16,347 posts through Mega DSC. A plan has been laid to fill 16,347 posts by December 10. The entire recruitment process to commence is effective from July 2024.
  • Repeal of Land Titling Act,
  • Increase in pension to Rs.4 thousand rupees which will be distributed 1st of every month. Since this increase is effective from April 2024, beneficiaries will also get arrears from April to June which will be distributed on 1st of July.
  • Pension will be disbursed at home. Village ward Secretariat staff (sachivalayam staff) will be used for this activity. Putting a full stop to the earlier process where volunteers used to distribute the pension door to the door, now sachivalayam staff will take up this activity.
  • Revival of Anna canteens, the operation to make more than 200 Anna canteens available in the next 100 days. The government will first open 183 canteens from August and will add  20 more later.
  • The cabinet has approved on the skill development and training.
  • The cabinet approves to change the name of YSR Health University in Vijayawada to NTR University. It was originally named as NTR health University, the previous government had renamed it to YSR. This is now restored to its original name.
  • The discussion happened on whether to conduct DSC with fresh TET or without TET.
