Due to heavy rains in the state of Maharashtra, schools, colleges in Mumbai, Pune , Thane and several other impacted locations in Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra have been declared Holiday on July 26.
BMC has declared a Holiday for all schools and colleges in the state. On the other hand Pune municipal administration and officials from Thane have made a similar announcement to close the schools and colleges till 26th July 2024.
A red alert has been issued by IMD in Mumbai till 8.30 am on July 26.
So far around 6 dead in Pune amidst heavy rains and floods in certain areas. Many areas in Pune, Mumbai, Thane and also parts of Raigad have rain water flooded.
Officials are taking necessary actions on the relief activities in such areas. Several trains have been cancelled by Konkan railway and central railway.
