The Andhra Pradesh state IT Minister Nara Lokesh looks to be cashing out of the current situation in Karnataka where it mandates local reservation to kannadigas in the state through its new act named “The Karnataka State Employment of Local Industries Factories Establishment Act Bill, 2024“.
NASSCOM along with various reputed industrialists and tech delegates have expressed their deep concern over the bill brought by the Karnataka government mandating local reservation. NASSCOM has tweeted on X expressing its deep concern calling the move as discriminatory and warned the Karnataka government to revisit its bill failing which companies may relocate to other states.
On this move, Minister Nara Lokesh promptly reacted to Nasscom tweet stating Andhra Pradesh would offer the organisations best-in-class facilities, uninterrupted power, infrastructure and the most suitable skilled talent for their IT enterprise with no restrictions from the Government.
He welcomed the NASSCOM Members, IT Companies to set up their base in Vizag. Many netizens also welcomed IT Companies to set up their unit in AP.
Let’s see how well this invitation is considered amidst the bitter situation in the state of Karnataka.
