Jagananna Thodu scheme is a convergence scheme jointly funded by state and central governments to financially assist street vendors and micro vendors across the state.
This scheme was initially launched in the year 2020 to provide interest free loans of rupees 10,000 to the street vendors across the state.
This scheme is a convergence scheme with PM SvaNidhi which funds urban Street vendors with subsidised interest of 7% , however Thodu scheme covers village vendors too additionally and state government bears the remaining interest to provide zero interest loans.

So far in the last 5 years the state government claims it has provided 3,373.73 crore worth Loans to 16,73,576 street and micro vendors.
In the latest tranche, the government of Andhra Pradesh issues fresh loans to another 3,95,000 vendors which are worth 417.94 crore.
Chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has pressed the button on 11th January 2024 to waive off the interest amount worth 13.64 crore for those who had availed loan and paid on time in the last financial year.
