Below are the methods applicable to answer various calendar questions

Introduction : ఒక సంవత్సరంలో రోజులు వారాలు నెలలు తేదీలను చూపించే చార్ట్ ను క్యాలెండర్ అని అని అంటారు.

సంవత్సరాలు రెండు రకాలు: ఒకటి సాధారణ సంవత్సరం రెండవది లీపు సంవత్సరం

A normal year has 365 days.
A Leap Year has 366 days (the extra day is the 29th of February)

What is a Leap Year : లీపు సంవత్సరం అంటే ఏమిటి

1. Leap Year has 366 days
2. A year is fully divisible by 4
3. Century years should be fully divisible by 4 [ example: 400,800,1200 are leap years and 100,200,300 are not leap years ]

Leap years completed:

100 years have 24 leap years

any year last 2 digits divided by 4 gives some quotient . That has to be rounded to nearest previous number

Example: 1947 , 47/4 = 11.75 = 11 leap years completed

Formula To Calculate Day on a particular date

Date + Month code + last two digit of year + Leap years completed + Century code

Example:

15 August 1947

15 + 2 + 47 + 11 + 0 = 75

75/7 = Reminder = 5 So it is friday

If it is Leap year and month is January or February , please consider previous day

Example 1:

1996 January 10

10 + 0 + 96 + 24 +0 = 130

130/7 = 4 reminder [ -1] = 3 is Wednesday

Example 2:

1996 March 10

10 + 3 +96 + 24 + 0 = 133

133/7 = 0 reminder – sunday
