Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 and 42 years of age as on 1st July 2026.
Age relaxation details:

Educational Qualification

Field Posting Requirement
Selected candidates in APTRANSCO are required to work in field offices — specifically Meter and Relay Testing (MRT), Line Maintenance, Sub-station Maintenance, and/or Construction Divisions — for a minimum of 5 continuous years from the date of initial appointment. During this period:
- No requests for transfer to headquarters or office postings will be entertained
- Promotion and SGP increments eligibility begins only after completing the mandatory field tenure
- Any attempt to influence postings through political or improper means will result in cancellation of appointment
Service Bond
All appointed candidates must execute a Service Bond (on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs. 110/-) at the time of joining:
- Bond period: 7 years (2 years probation + 5 years mandatory service)
- Original certificates (Degree, Date of Birth, Community) to be deposited with APTRANSCO during the bond period
- To access certificates during the bond period: Deposit Rs. 1,00,000/- as security (refunded after re-deposit)
- Resignation during probation: Refund of emoluments + Rs. 5,00,000/- liquidated damages
- Resignation after probation but before completing 5 years: Rs. 10,00,000/- liquidated damages
Local Candidature Rules
Reservation to local candidates follows G.O.Ms. No. 45, General Administration Department, dated 20th April 2026 (AP Presidential Order 2025). 95% of Local category posts are reserved for zone-specific local candidates.
Candidates who migrated from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh between 2nd June 2014 and 1st June 2024 are treated as local candidates and must produce a Local Status Certificate at the time of certificate verification.
