Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 42 years as on 1st July 2026.

Age relaxation is available:

  • SC / ST / BC / EWS candidates: Up to 47 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Up to 52 years

Educational Qualification

  • AEE / Electrical: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a university recognized by UGC and AICTE.
  • AEE / Telecom: B.E. / B.Tech in Telecommunications / Electronics / Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • AEE / Civil: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a UGC and AICTE recognized university.

Candidates must hold all certificates as on the date of the notification. Degrees awarded through Distance Mode by universities outside Andhra Pradesh are not valid. Candidates with equivalent qualifications must produce an Equivalency Certificate from the Registrar of their university.


Application Fee

The application fee is Rs. 1,000/- for all candidates. This is a non-refundable fee payable through the Online Payment Gateway between 30th June 2026 and 20th July 2026.

Common Recruitment Examination (CRE)

APCPDCL participates in the Common Recruitment Examination conducted jointly with APTRANSCO, APEPDCL, APSPDCL, and APGENCO. Posting Conditions

Selected candidates will be posted to field offices in rural areas. There are no provisions for requesting headquarters postings during the initial service period. Candidates must work within the APCPDCL jurisdiction (NTR, Krishna, Guntur, Palnadu, Bapatla, Prakasam, and Markapuram districts, along with 8 Mandals of Eluru district falling under APCPDCL). Eligibility for promotion and SGP increments begins only after fulfilling the mandatory field service tenure.


Service Bond Conditions

Every appointed candidate must sign a Service Bond at the time of joining:

  • Total bond period: 7 years (2 years probation + 5 years mandatory service)
  • Original certificates must be deposited with APCPDCL during the bond period
  • To access certificates during the bond period, the employee must deposit Rs. 1,00,000/- as security
  • Resignation during probation: Refund of emoluments received + Rs. 5,00,000/- liquidated damages
  • Resignation after probation but before completing 5 years: Rs. 10,00,000/- liquidated damages

Local Candidature and Reservation

Reservation for local candidates is governed by the AP Presidential Order 2025. The APCPDCL local area includes:

NTR, Krishna, Guntur, Palnadu, Bapatla, Prakasam, and Markapuram districts, along with the following 8 Mandals of Eluru district under APCPDCL jurisdiction:
