APEPDCL has notified a total of 135 posts across three engineering disciplines. Here is the breakup:

AEE / Electrical – 128 Posts

The majority of vacancies fall under the Electrical discipline. Out of 128 posts, 6 are in the Open category (available to both local and non-local candidates), while 118 are reserved for Local candidates. Additionally, 4 posts are carried-forward vacancies pertaining to the Women category.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 and 42 years of age as on 1st July 2026. The following relaxations apply:

  • SC / ST / BC / EWS candidates: Maximum age is 47 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Maximum age is 52 years

Educational Qualification

  • AEE / Electrical: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized university approved by UGC and AICTE.
  • AEE / Telecom: Degree in Telecommunications / Electronics / Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized university.
  • AEE / Civil: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university approved by UGC and AICTE.

Important Note: Candidates must possess all required certificates as on the date of the notification (25th June 2026). Degrees awarded under Distance Mode from State Universities outside Andhra Pradesh are not legally valid for this recruitment.


Application Fee

All candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 1,000/- through the Payment Gateway. Payment can be made from 30th June 2026 to 20th July 2026. Fees once paid are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Selection Process

APEPDCL conducts a Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) along with APTRANSCO, APCPDCL, APSPDCL, and APGENCO. Here is the complete selection process:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)

The exam is conducted in Computer Based Test mode. It consists of 100 marks distributed as follows:

Network Analysis, Fourier Series, Electronic Devices & Circuits, Digital Circuits, Linear Control Systems, Transmission Lines & Antennas, Maxwell’s Equations & Field Theory, Wave Guides and Components, Micro Processors & Micro Controllers, Communication Systems.

AEE / Civil (Core – 70 Marks)

Common Syllabus (All Posts – 30 Marks)

Exam Centers

The Computer Based Test will be held across 47 cities in Andhra Pradesh and 5 cities in other states (Hyderabad and Khammam in Telangana, Bengaluru in Karnataka, Chennai in Tamil Nadu, and Berhampur in Odisha). Candidates may select their preferred exam city while applying.


Pay Scale and Probation

Selected candidates will be placed on a 2-year probation period (within a continuous 3-year span). During probation, they will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 75,000/-.

Service Bond

Every selected candidate must execute a Service Bond at the time of joining:

  • Minimum service commitment: 5 years after completion of probation (total bond period of 7 years)
  • Original certificates (Degree, Date of Birth, Community) must be deposited with APEPDCL during the bond period.
  • If an employee resigns during probation: Must refund emoluments received + Rs. 5 Lakhs as liquidated damages.
  • If an employee resigns after probation but before 5 years: Must pay Rs. 10 Lakhs as liquidated damages.

Local / Non-Local Candidature

Reservation to local candidates follows the AP Presidential Order 2025 as reflected in G.O.Ms. No. 45, General Administration Department, dated 20th April 2026. The local area for APEPDCL covers the districts under its jurisdiction (Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, East Godavari, West Godavari, and Eluru circles/districts). Candidates must produce Study Certificates or Residence Certificates to claim local status.
