RRC Western Railway Sports Quota Recruitment 2025: The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Western Railway has released the official notification for Sports Quota Recruitment 2025-26 through Employment Notice No. RRC/WR/01/2025, dated 29th July 2025. A total of 64 vacancies will be filled under Group C and erstwhile Group D categories in various sports disciplines. Interested and eligible Indian sportspersons can apply online from 30th July 2025 to 29th August 2025 through the official website www.rrc-wr.com.
These vacancies are distributed across Level 5/4 (Graduate level), Level 3/2 (12th/ITI), and Level 1 (10th/ITI) posts. Selection will be based on sports achievements, trials, and educational qualifications. There is no reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories under this quota. 📋 Eligibility Criteria
🧓 Age Limit
- 18 to 25 years as of 01/01/2026
- Born between 02/01/2001 and 01/01/2008 (both days inclusive)
- No relaxation in age limit.

🏅 Sports Eligibility Criteria
Only achievements between 01/04/2023 and date of notification are considered valid. Performance in senior and junior national/international championships is eligible.
✔ For Level 5/4:
- Represented India in Olympic Games
- OR secured at least 3rd place in World Cup, World Championships, Asian Games, etc.
✔ For Level 3/2:
- Represented India in international events
- OR 3rd place in national-level events, university competitions, and Federation Cups.
✔ For Level 1:
- Participation in Federation Cup / Senior Nationals
- OR top 8 placement in national championships
🔸 Note: Discipline-specific norms apply for Table Tennis, Cricket, Kabaddi, Bodybuilding, Powerlifting, etc.
🔍 Selection Process
- Sports Trial
- Minimum 25/40 marks required in game skill, physical fitness, and coach’s observation
- Merit Evaluation
- Sports achievements – 50 marks
- Sports Trial – 40 marks
- Educational Qualification – 10 marks
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- Level 5/4: 70 marks
- Level 3/2: 65 marks
- Level 1: 60 marks
