General Duty (GD)
Educational Qualification :
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with Mathematics and Physics at the 10+2 level.
Candidates with diplomas must have Physics and Mathematics in their curriculum.
Age Limit :
Born between July 1, 2000 , and June 30, 2004 (inclusive).
Technical Branch
Educational Qualification :
Engineering degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, or related disciplines.
Electrical or Electronics Engineering disciplines are also eligible.
Age Limit :
Born between July 1, 2000 , and June 30, 2004 (inclusive).
Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
The selection comprises five stages :
Stage I: Coast Guard Common Admission Test (CGCAT) :
A computer-based online screening test with 100 multiple-choice questions.
Subjects: English, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Science, Mathematics, and General Knowledge.
Stage II: Preliminary Selection Board (PSB) :
Computerized Cognitive Battery Test (CCBT) and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT).
Stage III: Final Selection Board (FSB) :
Psychological Test, Group Task, and Personal Interview.
Stage IV: Medical Examination :
Conducted at Base Hospital, New Delhi.
Stage V: Induction :
Training at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.
