Dunki OTT Release Date: Shahrukh Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki movie failed to meet expectations at the box office. This Bollywood movie which has brought huge collections in theaters is coming to OTT recently. Donkey Movie OTT streaming rights are acquired by Jio Cinema. It is known that this movie is going to be streamed on Jio Cinema OTT from February 16. It is reported that Jio Cinema is going to officially announce the release date of Dunky OTT soon.
Last year, Shah Rukh Khan’s movies Pathan and Jawaan were commercial blockbusters. The pre-release business of the movie Dunki has been huge as both films have collected more than a thousand crores. Jio Cinema is rumoured to have bought the OTT rights of Dunky for 155 crores. Dunky created the record for the highest OTT rights sold movie in Bollywood. Dunky became the movie that sold the OTT rights at the highest rate in Shahrukh’s career as well. T Series bought the music rights of this movie for 36 crores.
Dunki was released on December 21 last year opposite Prabhas Salar. Due to the craze on the Shahrukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani combo, there were huge expectations for the Dunky movie before its release. But due to the routine storyline, this movie is average. The first-day collection was only 29 crores. Made on a budget of 120 crores, it collected 470 crores in its theatrical run. It was one of the top ten films with the highest collections in Bollywood last year. Regardless of the negative talk, it brought profits to the producers.
Vicky Kaushal played a guest role in the movie Dunky and Taapsee played the heroine. Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover and Boman Irani played key roles. Director Rajkumar Hirani has screened the movie Dunki in the background of the lives of those who are illegally migrating abroad. Shah Rukh Khan is seen in an emotional role as Har Dayal Singh alias Hardy Singh.
