Saindhav OTT Release: Venkatesh Saindhav’s movie is coming to OTT within twenty days of its theatrical release. The OTT release date of this movie was officially announced on Wednesday. Saindhav will be streaming on Amazon Prime OTT from February 3. Amazon Prime has announced that Saindhav’s movie will be released in Tamil as well as Telugu. It is reported that ETV has acquired the satellite rights of Saindhav.
Venkatesh Saindhav’s movie was released in theatres on January 13 as a Sankranti gift. It has become interesting in Tollywood that this movie is coming to OTT within a gap of twenty days after its theatrical release. It is being said that this movie is coming to OTT within twenty days as it turned out to be a disaster in the theatres. Saindhav movie is directed by Shailesh Kolanu.
Sailesh Kolanu has brought Saindhav to the screen as a gangster action entertainer with a universal concept. Saindhav could not please the audience due to the lack of connection between the father-daughter relationship and the action elements, missing the comedy and sentiment of Venkatesh’s films. On the other hand, Guntur Karam, Hanuman and Naa Samiranga were also released for Sankranti, which had a strong effect on Saindhav’s collections. Released with a break-even target of around twenty-six crores, this movie collected less than ten crores and left huge losses for the producers.
In Saindhav’s film, Venkatesh played a character with different shades as a gangster named Psycho and the father of a child. What kind of fight did Psycho have with the mafia gang called Cartel for the life of his daughter? Why did Psycho, who worked in the Cartel, come out of it? The story of this movie is how a psycho can get an injection worth seventeen crores to save his daughter’s life.
Keeping in view the pan-Indian trend, Bollywood and Kollywood artists played key roles in Saindhav’s film. Hindi actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui made his entry into Tollywood with Saindhav. He acted as a villain in this. Kollywood hero Arya…played the role of Venkatesh’s friend.
Shraddha Srinath acted opposite Venkatesh in Saindhav. Ruhani Sharma and Andrea played key roles. Apart from Telugu, the movie is expected to be released in theatres for Sankranti in Tamil and Hindi languages. But Saindhav was released in Telugu as theatres were not available. Recently Saindhav’s movie was released in Tamil through OTT.
Santhosh Narayanan of Dussehra fame has composed the music for Saindhav’s film. It is not clear what is Venkatesh’s movie after Saindhav. Trivikram is rumoured to be the director of his next movie. There is a possibility of Trivikram doing a multi-starrer movie with Nani and Venkatesh. Also, Venkatesh will act in Rana Naidu season 2.
