IGNOU B.Ed Eligibility Criteria 2026
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- At least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Sciences / Social Sciences / Commerce / Humanities
- OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks
AND candidates must belong to one of the following categories:
- Trained in-service teachers in elementary education
- Candidates who have completed an NCTE-recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode
Age Limit
There is no age limit for admission to the IGNOU B.Ed programme.
Reservation & Relaxation
- 5% relaxation in minimum eligibility marks for SC / ST / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / PwD candidates
- EWS reservation as per Central Government rules
- Reservation for Kashmiri Migrants and War Widow candidates as per IGNOU norms
