The Karnataka government launched its fifth and the last pending guarantee scheme ‘Yuva nidhi’ on Tuesday. Registrations have been invited from the eligible persons.
So far, around 5.3 lakh beneficiaries to benefit with this scheme in Karnataka.
What is Yuva nidhi Scheme
Yuva Nidhi scheme is one of the Guarantee scheme of the Government of Karnataka. This scheme provides unemployment allowance to unemployed youths of the Karnataka state who have graduated in AY 2022-23.
The academic documents available on NAD serve as a significant factor for determining the eligibility of the applicants for the scheme.
The graduates who are not employed even after 180 days from the date of announcement of results are eligible to apply for the scheme. The unemployment benefits can only be availed by the students of Karnataka state domicile. The benefit of the scheme will be discontinued if the beneficiary obtains employment or a maximum period of 2 years.
Note: Students can apply or register even if 180 days are not completed and amount will start crediting only after 180 days completed.
Implementing Department: Department of Industrial Training and Employment
The scheme will disburse benefits for 2 years from the date of result or till the applicant is employed.
The benefit amounts of Yuva nidhi are:
a) INR 3000 per month to all unemployed degree graduates.
b) INR 1500 per month to unemployed diploma graduates.
Eligibility criteria for Yuva nidhi scheme.
a) Applicant should be a Degree / Diploma holder in 2023 and The graduates who are not employed even after 180 days from the date of announcement of results are eligible to apply for the scheme.
b) Applicants should have the Domicile of Karnataka during the course of graduation and diploma for a minimum of 6 years. [The domicile status will be verified through SSLC marks card, PUC marks card or degree marks card. CET registration number or ration card which was issued on or before 2017 will also be considered.]
c) Applicants should be unemployed.
d) Applicants should not be pursuing higher studies.
Ineligibility Criteria:
a) Those who are already receiving benefits from other central and state government schemes for self-employment.
b) Those who have enrolled or already pursuing their Higher Education.
c) Those who are receiving wages from the apprenticeships.
d) Those who are employed in Government or Private sector.
How to apply for Yuva nidhi Scheme
a) Beneficiaries can apply for the scheme on the Seva Sindhu portal. https://sevasindhuservices.karnataka.gov.in
b) Unemployment allowance is provided under this scheme which will be directly disbursed to the beneficiary bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
c) Beneficiaries should provide a monthly self-declaration regarding the status of their employment in order to avail Yuva Nidhi benefits periodically. If any discrepancy is found in the status provided by the applicant, penalties will be applicable.

a) Aadhaar number
b) Degree or Diploma Registration number
c) Degree / Diploma Certificate claimed on DigiLocker.
d) Domicile / Residency certificate issued by Revenue Department or Study Certificate issued by the concerned university.
