A big update and good news for the woman in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Minister Ram Prasad who took charge at AP Secretariat on Sunday, revealed the good news on the Free Bus Travel scheme in the state of AP.
The minister for Sports and transport , Ram Prasad post taking charge, revealed key updates on the upcoming projects.
He said the government is committed to launch the Free Bus Travel scheme for women in the state within a month. He also stated their government would review and take necessary actions to promote healthy sports in the state.
Salient features of Free Bus Travel Scheme Andhra Pradesh
Under this scheme, women and transgender in the state can travel free of cost in state RTC buses.
– Free travel is permitted in APSRTC Palle Velugu, express non AC buses, Metro non ac buses
– Women , Girls and transgenders are eligible for this scheme
– This scheme is not applicable for AC, Non AC super luxury , Star liner sleeper and other AC services.
– Any local ID proof can be shown by women passengers while travelling to claim the benefits.
A complete set of guidelines shall be released within a month.
