Congress government has taken another step forward in the implementation of six guarantee schemes across the state.
The Congress government, which has already launched two schemes out of six guarantees, will launch two more schemes today on February 27.
Two more schemes from Rangareddy Chevella Program
Griha Jyoti Scheme is one of the six guarantee schemes. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will launch the ₹500 cylinder scheme which is part of Grilahakshmi along with Free Electricity scheme under the name Gruha Jyothi today from Chevella area of Rangareddy district.
Griha Jyothi: Through this scheme, the government will provide free electricity to all the electricity consumers who consume up to 200 units across the state. Zero electricity bill will be implemented for them each month. To be eligible for this scheme one must be a resident of Telangana and have a white ration card.
Griha Lakshmi – ₹500 gas cylinder: Under this scheme, the state government will provide gas cylinder to the beneficiaries at a subsidised cost of ₹500. However, this scheme will be implemented in the form of cash transfer or DBT. That means you have to pay the full amount while taking the cylinder, after which the remaining rebate amount will be credited to your bank account. For example, if the price of a cylinder in Hyderabad is 955 rupees, the government will transfer 455 rupees to your bank account under subsidy.
White ration card has been made mandatory for both the above schemes.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will launch these two schemes today at a grand public meeting organized at Farah Engineering College in Chevella, Ranga Reddy District.
