State Chief Election Officer Vikas Raj has made it clear that on the poll day of Telangana Assembly elections , private organizations and IT companies in the state must grant compulsory holiday to it’s employees.
Accordingly, Organizations have been ordered to give paid leave so that employees can exercise their right to vote.
The CEO added that there were complaints that some organizations did not give grant leaves during the last election. Holiday was not given during the 2018 Assembly and 2019 Lok Sabha elections. To this extent, Vikas Raj has issued orders to the Labor Department to examine whether all organizations have given leave for this election.
It is also advised to take legal action against the organizations that do not grant leave.
Also 2 days holiday for educational institutions In view of the Telangana Assembly elections, has already been announce by the state government. Holidays will fall on November 29th Wednesday and on November 30th Thursday. Hyderabad District Collector Anudeep has issued orders to this effect.
Election polling will be held across the state on Thursday. Polling centers have been set up in many educational institutions of the city. Election materials were moved to the respective polling centers on Wednesday. In this context, two days holiday has been declared for the educational institutions.
