State Bank of India (SBI) has officially released the SBI CBO Recruitment 2026 notification for the post of Circle Based Officer (CBO). This recruitment is conducted under Advertisement No. CRPD/CBO/2025-26/18.
This is a special officer-level recruitment where selected candidates will be posted only in the applied circle. Inter-circle transfer is not permitted until promotion to SMGS-IV or completion of 12 years of service, whichever is earlier.

Vacancy Details
SBI has released circle-wise and category-wise vacancies for the Circle-Based Officer post, including backlog vacancies for PwBD candidates. The number of vacancies is provisional and may change depending on organisational requirements.
Important: Merit lists will be prepared circle-wise and category-wise. Candidates can apply for only one circle.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- A graduation in any discipline from a recognised university
- Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) holders are eligible
- Professional qualifications such as Engineering, CA, CMA, Medical, etc., are also eligible
Age Limit (as on 31-12-2025)
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
- Age relaxation applicable for SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen as per SBI rules
Experience Requirement
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience as an Officer
- Experience must be in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or a Regional Rural Bank listed by the RBI
- Candidates from non-PSB banks must meet the minimum annual gross salary criteria as specified by SBI
Local Language Proficiency
- Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak the local language of the applied circle
- Candidates who studied the local language in Class 10 or 12 are exempted from the language test
