Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Southern Railway, Chennai has released the Sports Quota Recruitment 2025 Notification (Employment Notice No. RRC-02/Sports/2025-26). Applications are invited from eligible Indian sportspersons for recruitment to 69 vacancies in Pay Matrix Level-1 to Level-5 under the Sports Quota for the year 2025-26. The online application process is open from 13th September 2025 to 12th October 2025.
Age Limit: 18 – 25 years as on 01.01.2026 (born between 02.01.2001 and 01.01.2008). No age relaxation.
Educational Qualification: – Level-1: 10th Pass / ITI / NAC from NCVT. – Level-2/3: 12th Pass or Matriculation + ITI/Apprenticeship. – Level-4/5: Graduation in any discipline.
Sports Achievements: Candidates must have represented at recognized National/International championships as per norms of the Railway Board (World Cup, Asian Games, National Championships, etc.).
Selection Process
Trials: Candidates will be assessed for game skill, physical fitness, and the coach’s observation (Max. 40 Marks).
Sports Achievements: Marks awarded as per certificates and level of participation (Max. 50 Marks).
Educational Qualification: Weightage of 10 Marks.
Minimum Qualifying Marks: – Level-4/5: 70 Marks – Level-2/3: 65 Marks – Level-1: 60 Marks
