Let’s see detailed review of SALAAR.

The story of SALAAR is: Karta Raja Mannar (Jagapathi Babu) rules Khansar empire. Each region in that empire is ruled by a noble.Meanwhile, the scheming for Karta’s future chair begins. Rajamannar reveals that he wish to see his son Varada Rajamannar (Prithviraj Sukumaran) as an aristocrat like him for Khansas Empire post his reign. Meanwhile, for few years he leaves his empire and returns, the whole story of Khansar changes in mean time he returns back. The battle for the chair reach its peak and at one point the plot reaches its high even to kill Varada Rajamannar. To implement this plot all the rest of the nobles strengthen their own army. Varada enlists childhood friend Deva (Prabhas) as his army. How could that one man resist so many armies? What did God do for his best friend Varada? How did he get the name Salaar (Salaar Review in English)? Why did they have to hide in a remote village in Odisha after moving from place to place for 25 years? How did Adya (Shruti Haasan) come into their lives? For All these You will have to watch the movie !

How is the movie : This movie has all the emotions that the audience and fans expect from Prabhas… Prashanth Neel. Prashanth left a special impression on the audience with his series of films ‘KGF’. Even more than the story, the unique world of Kolar Gold Fields and the style of heroism on the screen has impressed the audience.

Salaar movie still

Even this time, same way director created a fictional world called Khansar and weaved a story around it. (Salaar Review in English) Compared to KGF movies, he has given more priority to drama than heroism and elevations in this and accordingly directed the story. However , he did nothing short of heroism. Prabhas is shown to be liked by the fans after many days with good elevations whenever required. Although the second half seems slightly confusing at few areas, the drama is there to arouse the interest of the average audience. Even though there is still a story left to be told in next part… the film revolving around friendship, desire for power and revenge is quite impressive.

The director who started the story by showing the childhood friendship… it will be interesting to show the same story by linking it with the history of a thousand years ago. The film slowly moves into the actual story by introducing the characters and the world of the story. Heroism is not seen for a long time in the first and second half. Eswari Rao in the first half and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the second half will be seen controlling the hero’s role. Once Prabhas gets a knife in his hand, he never looked back. Suddenly, heroism kicks into high gear. (Salaar Review by STUDYBIZZ) This strategy followed for elevations is pleasing. The major highlight in the movie is the scene where Katamma sacrifices her mother. There are good emotions.

Although the second half has a real story…the intrigue drama woven around the chair, the lines between the family characters feel a little fuzzy. (Salaar Review by studybizz) But the turning point in the flagging scenes is blood-curdling. The introduction of Prabhas’ original character there will spark interest in the second part of Salaar.

Who did how: Prashanth Neel joins the list of directors who have used the Prabhas cutout for sure. After many days, Prabhas appeared on the screen as expected by his fans. The cutout is the reason why it is believable how many people he is cutting with a knife. The way the mother talks to Chatu as son and Mata Javadatta as a friend quite impressive. (Salaar Review in English) The way Prabhas looks in the fight scenes, his heroism and style are impressive. Prabhas made the well-designed scenes as simple as that.

Shruti Haasan’s role has no much relevance in first part but… she is the key person in first half. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s character is impressive. As friends, Prabhas and he seemed to have good chemistry. Eswari Rao, Bobby Simha, Jagapathi Babu, Maim Gopi, Shriya Reddy, Jhansi, John Vijay and others have done justice to their roles.

Technically the film is superior. The way Khansar explores the world is impressive. Ravi Basrur’s music, background music and Bhuvan Gowda’s camera work are the main strengths of the film. Unburied stunts are impressive. (Salaar Review) Prashanth has shown his uniqueness by weaving an ordinary story around a fictional world. They simply couldn’t tell the story in the second half. Although the movie KGF is remembered in many places… Prashanth’s talent is seen in cultivating a little bit of drama in the second half and combining mass and action elements like Prabhas. Finally, the structure is superior.

Strengths

+ Story revolving around Khansar

+ Prabhas.. Prithviraj’s characters, acting

+ emotions, drama, climax

Weaknesses

– Some scenes in the second half

Finally: Salaar: Ceasefire..This Action drama has stolen the hearts creating another big hype on second part.
