Hegde did his quick academic qualification at Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School in Mumbai. Movie performer Tamannaah Bhatia was her elder in school. Although, she did a post-graduation in Master of Commerce from M.M.K. College, Mumbai.
Along with reading in college, she also used to take part in dance & fashion shows. After her studies, she became active in modeling & took part in the 2009 Miss India beauty competition program. Although she was removed in the opening round of the Miss India Beauty Battling. But she carried on with her efforts & took part in the Miss Universe India 2010 beauty rivalry again.
