Juhi Chawla is a famous Indian film actress and a former Miss India in the year 1984; she was born to Dr. S. Chawla and Mona Chawla on 13 November 1967 at Ambala, Haryana, India. Juhi has a brother named Bobby Chawla and her sister name is Sonia. She acted in more than 100+ films in different languages including Hindi, Telugu, Punjabi, Kannada and Tamil.
Juhi completed her schooling from Fort Convent School, Mumbai and her graduation from Sydenham College, Mumbai, she married to industrialist Jay Mehta in 1995, and they have two children Arjun Mehta born in 2003 and Jhanvi Mehta born in 2001.
Juhi Chawla made her entry into films with her debut film Sultanat in the year 1986 which was not that successful, after that she made her debut in Kannada and Tamil movie with the same bilingual film named Premaloka (Kannada) and Paruva Ragam (Tamil) Kannada version was a big success, later came Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988 gave her a breakthrough in her career in which she played a role of Rashmi, this movie bagged her Filmfare Award for Best Film and chawla became the first actress to receive Lux New Face of the Year for the same movie. In 1988 she made Telugu debut movie with Kaliyuga Karnudu, for the movie Pratibandh in 1990 she was nominated as Best Actress for Filmfare Awards, in year 1994 she won Filmfare Best Actress for the movie Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke. Net to films she also featured as judge in a TV dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. In later years Juhi along with actor Shah Rukh Khan and Aziz Mirza started a production company named Dreamz Unlimited. Under this production company three movies Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Asoka and Chalte Chalte were released other than Chalte Chalte other two didn’t performed well. In 2008 along with her husband and Shah Rukh Khan she owned Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team in IPL this team won IPL trophy in 2012 and 2014. Her latest projects were Friday Night Plan (2023 movie) and The Railway Men (2023 Tv series).
