After flops like “Ravanasura, Tiger Nageswar Rao”, Ravi Teja’s latest film “Eagle” is a hat-trick flop with a mission to not come under any circumstances. Cinematographer Karthik Ghattamane’s second attempt as a director, the trailer of this film has registered good expectations. And let’s see if the movie Ravi Teja returns to form and becomes a hit..!!

Story:

A short article written by journalist Nalini (Anupama Parameswaran) in Delhi about a copy produced in Talakona creates a stir. The National Intelligence Bureau intervenes and interrogates Nalini for a few hours. If you write about Pratti somewhere in Talakona… Nalini who started the investigation from the angle of why the intelligence bureau in Delhi reacted… it is known that Sahadev (Ravi Teja) is the originator of this whole story. Who is the real Sahadev? What happened in the midnight of Margasira? Nali’s journey to find the answer to the questions reached which shore? This is something to know after watching the movie “Eagle”.

Performance of the actors:

If Ravi Teja’s films are taken in the last ten years.. it should be said that this is the character who put some effort and made a makeover for a role. This is an example of how much Ravi Teja believed in Sahadev’s character. Ravi Teja lived in the character with two different shades. Especially Ravi Teja’s handling of various guns is very natural.

Anupama Parameswaran entertains as an investigative journalist. Navdeep got a good role after many years. Impressed with his presence & dialogue delivery. Ajay Ghosh, Vasarala Srinivas and others have done justice to their roles.

Technical Performance:

Karthik Ghattamaneni – Karm Chawla – Kamil Ploki Trio Cinematography is the movie’s biggest asset. Sniper style framings & drone shots are also available. It would be nice to see those shots on a 70mm screen. Also.. the care taken in the CG work has given the audience a good cinematic experience. It makes sense that the producers have not compromised anywhere when it comes to production design & art work. Davzand’s background music could not create a good impact. Manibabu Karanam, the dialogue writer, though the dialogues are good, the rhymes are too much.

Hence dialogues that are meant to create impact are boring. There is honesty in the story written by director Karthik Ghattamane. The manner of filming is also at the level of Hollywood. However.. the way the story is driven by Anupama’s character is completely unimpressive. Especially the screenplay pattern is strongly reminiscent of “KGF”. Also.. the lead given for the second part is also at the same level. It would have been better if the screenplay had been written better without that “KGF” mark. Overall, Karthik Ghattamane has shown his mark as a director. It is an added plus that he is also the editor of this film.

Analysis:

Ravi Teja will see a never seen before audience, action blocks, music, elevating & camera work are amazing. For this (Eagle) you can definitely watch this movie.

Rating: 2.75/5
