The film “Bubble Gum” starred Roshan Kanakala, the son of the undisputed bully queen Suma Kanakala, as the protagonist. Directed by the director of “Ksanam, Krishna and His Leela” Ravikanth, Telugu actress Manasa Chaudhary made her debut as the female lead. Let’s see how much this film entertained the target audience as a youth full love entertainer..!!

Bubblegum Story:

full Mass Basti boy Adi (Roshan Kanakala), ultra-modern class kid Jaanu (Manasa Chaudhary). These two worlds are different, thoughts are different, and statuses are different. But.. one likes the other for some unknown reason. I know that whatever Adi does, it will be ruined. Aadi is ready to do anything for Janu.

However. Aadi tries to enter the glass building that Janu has built around him. Before you think you have found the correct entry. Due to a small confusion, Aditya gets disrobed. With that.. the story goes around.

If you want to know what happened after that, you have to watch the movie “Bubble Gum”.

Bubblegum Acting Performance:

Roshan Kanakala looks very confident. His gestures in the crucial dressing scene are admirable. The maturity he showed in his first film makes it clear that he came to the industry well-prepared. However, emotional scenes need to be improved. He felt no problem with romance and dancing.

Telugu actress Manasa Choudhary is not shy about her gestures… Kissing scenes done without making faces and counting will bring her good recognition. Even if she is not able to entertain as an actress, the way she appears on the screen with ease will bring her more opportunities.

After these two, the most impressive person in the film is Chaitu Jonnalagadda. He played the role of the hero’s father, although he does not look like a father in any angle. Soon he will be a busy artist. He is the brother of the hero Sidhu Jonnalagadda.

Anu Haasan and Harshavardhan as modern parents, Bindu Chandramouli is a middle-class mother, and Ananya Akula and Kiran Macchal as friends.

Bubblegum Technical performance:

Sricharan’s painstaking effort to give the film a modern touch is heard in every frame. Especially the mix made with idiom music for the emotional scene in the climax is good. Also.. the songs are also impressive.

Suresh’s cinematography work is decent. Although it does not look new, he presented it realistically. The production design & art department work is also good.

Director and writer Ravikanth directed this movie targeting the youth audience. He tried to almost achieve his target with some scenes, but the new confused love story and ending with an open ending may not connect to everyone. Also.. showing the hero like a Hyderabad model seen on Instagram may not connect to everyone. Ravikanth has written the story characters very realistically so that the youth and niche audience can connect.

If the way the hero Klister converts from a clear ideology to a confused state of mindset had been shown more clearly, his character would have created a better impact. If not.. in terms of story & character arcs Bollywood films “Rock Star & Tamasha” are reminded again and again.

Bubblegum Analysis:

As the name suggests, “Bubble Gum” is sweet in some places and bland in others. This is a movie that will connect with the modal youth & niche audience of Hyderabad to an extent. Full of romance, a bit of humour and good father-son chemistry, “Bubble Gum” entertains. And how well this film will perform at the box office is a bit doubtful. The reason for that is the lack of clarity in the story & character arcs & the director trying something new… the ending is left open.

Bubblegum Rating: 2.5/5
