Indraja is a well-known South Indian film and Television actress who worked in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil languages, she was born to a Brahmin family on 30 June 1978 at Chennai, Tamilnadu, India, her real name is RAJATHI, she is the eldest among three sisters, she bagged many prizes during her childhood in singing and drama competitions, she is well trained classical singer and dancer and also she learned Kuchipudi dance as a part of love towards arts, in her career as a actress she played different versatile roles as heroin, mother, police officer, character artist.
Her marriage is a love marriage, she married a businessman and actor Mohammed Absar after their 6 years of relationship in 2006, after marriage she gave birth to a baby girl and named her Sara
Her debut film is Uzhaippali (1993) a Tamil movie in which she played a child artist, her first movie in Telugu is Hello Brother in which she made a Special appearance in the song “Kannepetta Ro” which was a famous song then later she acted in full role in Jantar Mantar movie with a character name INDRAJA from then her name was popularized as indraja (stage name)among the audience next to that film she acted in S. V. Krishna Reddy’s directed yamaleela movie which gave her stardom later she acted in many Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam movies she had been nominated for -Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu for her acting in Sogasu Chooda Tharamaa (1995) Telugu movie
