Kalki 2898 AD box office collection day 1: Nag Ashwin’s dystopian sci-fi flick starring Prabhas has scored the highest first-day collection for an Indian film.

The theatrical business of ‘Kalki 2898 ad’ was Rs.381 crores. To break even, the film needs to collect a total share of Rs.385 crores. On the first day, the film collected a share of Rs.94.57 crores. A share of Rs.290.43 crore is still to be collected to break even.
The report also added that Kalki 2898 AD had an overall 85.15 per cent Telugu occupancy on Thursday.

Kalki 2898 AD tells the story of a bounty hunter called Bhairava whose biggest ambition is to make a life for himself in the Complex. How he crosses paths with Ashwatthama (Amitabh) and SU-M80 (Deepika) forms the story. Kamal plays Supreme Yaskin, the ruler of Complex. The film features a host of cameos from stars including Mrunal Thakur, Anna Ben, Vijay Devarakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, and Brahmanandam.
