Kismat Movie Story:

Karthik (Naresh Agastya), Abhi (Abhinav Gomatham), Kiran (Viswadev Rachakonda)… three friends. Did BTech but did not get jobs. They come to Hyderabad due to a fight in Mancharya. Get down in a room. Ten lakhs are charged for back door jobs. As the software company turns the board for a few days, the three friends are tensed not knowing what to do. They get 20 crores. That money is for Janardhan (Ajay Ghosh), who is ready to contest the elections. He has more than 30 colleges. The strange thing is… those three studied in his college.

Does Janardhan or his henchman Suri (Temper Vamsi) know that Karthik, Kiran and Abhi have 20 crores? Why did SSI Vivek (Avarsala Srinivas) start an investigation for that money? How many hands did that money change? Who did it reach in the end? What is the love story between Karthik and Tanya (Riya Suman)? You have to watch the movie to know.

Analysis:

Kismat… is a crime comedy film. The film has the set-up required for this genre of films. Elections, black money, jobless youth, 20 crore rupees in their hands, police investigation for that money… If you see the script on paper, it looks like a good crime comedy thriller. But the audience watching the movie gets bored. Screened at that level.

‘Kismet’ is a good story. But, seeing it on the screen will disappoint. The starting of the movie does not matter. ‘Kismat’ started when a man stole money from a villain who had not even passed the seventh standard and earned crores by setting up 30 colleges and searching for it. However, that interest did not continue for long. The horoscope of the movie is understood in the way the characters of the heroes are introduced. After the interval more characters were introduced and thrown away.

Interval twist can be expected when the three boys enter the Hyderabad room from Mancharya. Later, with the introduction of Vasarala Srinivas’s character, the story was expected to pick up speed… but it didn’t happen. The story is twisted here and there like Tom and Jerry episodes. In terms of technical aspects, it is soso. Music by Mark K Robin is amazing. There are no songs or background music at his level.

Abhinav Gomatham once again gave laughs in some scenes with one liners and punchy dialogues. Naresh Agastya and Vishwadev did routine characters. They did it according to their scope. Rhea Suman’s role is short. She didn’t get much chance to act. In the key turning scenes of the story! Ajay Ghosh has shown his own villainy. ‘Temper’ Vamsidhi has done well even though it is a routine role. A talented artist like Avrasala Srinivas was not used properly.

The story of ‘Kismat’ has the subject. The film has talented artists. But, it could not be picked up. Didn’t laugh at all. Thrills are not given. Disappointed. The audience who went to the theaters could not do anything but leave feeling that their ‘kismat’ was not good enough.
