What happened at Maruti Nagar Police Station?
Archana (Varalakshmi Sarathkumar) is a police officer. Archana grows up in an orphanage along with Jai (Mahat Raghavendra) and three other friends. Jai works as a software engineer. One day he disappears. Archana’s investigation reveals that Jai was murdered.
Archana discovers that Jai has been killed by a police officer named Guru (Amit Bhargava) in association with a bully named Naga (Subrahmanya Siva). Archana plans to kill Guru and the Nagas who are the cause of Jai’s death in Maruti Nagar Police Station where Guru is working with his friends. But someone else implements their plan.
Guru and Nagas are shot before the eyes with Archana. Archana’s friends become suspects in the crime. ACP Nenducheliyan (Arav) takes up the responsibility of catching those who shot Guru and Nagala. Guru, who shot Nagala?

Maruti Nagar Police Station is a crime investigation thriller directed by Dayal Padmanabhan. One in the first half, one in the second half…he screened this movie for two hours believing in only two twists. Other than that the rest of the story is routine.

Most of the murder mystery movies follow the same format. It seems common to show how a police officer solves a crime without any evidence with his intelligence. The success of this movie depends on writing the screenplay to drive such a routine script with twists and turns beyond the imagination of the audience. Such screenplay sparkles are not seen in this movie.
Revenge drama…
Director Dayal Padmanabhan has written this story with the point of taking revenge on those who caused the death of his friend and brother. The first half revolves around Archana’s investigation into Jai’s death and her plan to kill Guru and Naga.
The director has created interest in the second half with an interval twist. Arav’s investigation on one side and Archana’s desire to save his friends on the other…the director wanted to run the film by connecting the two stories. But the whole scene is silly.
In the name of investigation, the director could not write a single scene to impress. The relationship twist between Nedunchelian and Jai is not surprising either.
Varalakshmi plus point…
Varalakshmi Sarathkumar as Archana impressed in the role of a police officer. Her acting is the plus point of this movie. But in the second half, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar’s character is completely clear. Arav looks serious and doesn’t get a chance to show his acting side. Mahat Raghavendra acted in a guest role. Amit Bhargav and Subramanya Shiva’s villainy is also artificial.
