  • Many people know that Rajinikanth’s real name is Shivaji Rao Gaikwad and he worked as a bus conductor. But, before that, he worked as a laborer and carpenter.
  • Rajinikanth’s debut film was ‘Apoorva Raagangal’ (Tamil). First Telugu movie ‘Anthuleni Katha’ (Anthuleni Katha). At the beginning of his career, he played a villain. In 1978, he acted in more than 20 films. Since then, ‘Superstar’ has been added to his name after the success of ‘Bhairavi’ in which he acted as the hero.
  • While Rajinikanth was sitting in a temple in Bangalore, the beggars there put money in his hand! Recalling that incident in an interview, “That incident tells me who I am. That’s why I don’t give priority to superficialities that show his personality.
  • During the shooting of the movie ‘Thalapathi’, Aravindaswamy went to Rajinikanth’s room without knowing him. He slept on the bed there. Not wanting to wake up Aravindaswamy who was fast asleep, Rajini slept on the floor in the same room. Aravindaswamy was surprised when Rajini acted like that about him, who was not so well known at that time.

  • Awarded Padma Bhushan (2000), Padma Vibhushan (2016), Dada Phalke (2019). He dedicated the ‘Phalke’ award to his mentor, director Balachander, friend (bus driver) Raj Bahadur, producers, directors, co-actors, technicians, theater owners, fans, and Tamil people who made films with him.
