He is the sixth child of N. T. Rama Rao, a Telugu actor and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. He made his debut in the film industry with the 1974 film Tatamma Kala at the age of fourteen. Nandamuri Balakrishna was born in 1960 in Chennai (at the time Madras), Tamil Nadu, to actor Telugu Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and his wife Basavatarakam, who served as Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister three times. He spent his entire childhood in Madras, even though Madras was the location of the Telugu film industry at the time. Career
Balakrishna made his acting debut in the 1974 film Tatamma Kala, directed by N. T. Rama Rao, as a child performer. He played Raghavendra Rao in the 1987 film Apoorva Sahodarulu, which was directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. In 1991, he received a lot of praise and admiration for his performance in the science fiction film Aditya 369, which was directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao. Later, he appeared as a cameo in movies like Alludu, Veerabhadra, Vijayendra Varma, and Allari Pidugu.
He made a comeback in 2010 alongside Boyapati Srinu’s Simha, in which he co-starred with Nayantara and Sneha Ullal.
