April Fools Day, Its significance and origin

April Fools Day is celebrated globally on 1St of April 2024. Today people play pranks on each other making them fools. These are light hearted pranks meant for fun.

The exact origins of April Fools’ Day are unclear, but it’s believed to have roots in various cultural traditions and historical events. One theory suggests it dates back to the adoption of the Gregorian calendar in the 16th century, when New Year’s Day moved from April 1st to January 1st in many European countries. Some people either didn’t get the memo or resisted the change, continuing to celebrate the New Year in April. Others played pranks on them, calling them “April fools.” Over time, the tradition evolved into a day of lighthearted pranks and jokes.



Even celebrities do post prank news to make their fans fool on April 1st. It’s altogether a fun filled activity across the globe. Many European, American nations and Asian  nations celebrate this day along with few African nations.
