Sreni refers to the Guild, who controlled the trade. Rate of interest on deposits with guilds was at 12%

The kingdom was also home to a number of large manufacturing enterprises, which produced goods such as iron tools, weapons, and Armor.

Tax System:

  • Major source of Income was on agriculture and levied 1/6th of tax on produce as rajabhaga.
  • Satavahanas collected taxes on roads and occupations as well. kurukara was the tax on artisans
  • Rajjagahaka was the name of official who collects the tax.
