The popular Indian business personality Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries (RIL), which is a diversified and most valuable conglomerate spanning from oil to retail and telecom has finally announced a record date for its customers to issue bonus shares.

In the 28th AGM Meeting held on August 29th it made an announcement on the bonus shares. However it took more than a month to declare it’s record date. Finally, Reliance announced the record date for bonus shares with 1:1 ratio as 28 October 2024.
As per the report almost 99.92% of the votes were cast in favor of the bonus and only 0.07% against the bonus shares.
It gave some time till October 7 to the investors who partially paid and to complete the remaining payment.
To be eligible to receive bonus shares, investors should purchase RIL shares by Monday 28 October 2024.
The number of shares shall be doubled however total value will be adjusted with the doubled shares and its value to remain constant.
The only benefit which investors will receive is the liquidity in the shares at lower price.
