Arun Yogiraj (born in 1983) is an Indian sculptor from Mysuru, Karnataka. He is well known for his notable works like Lord Ram Idol at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir, a 30-feet statue of Subhash Chandra Bose, the Statue of Adi Shankaracharya in Kedarnath, a 21-feet tall Hanuman statue at Chunchanakatte in Mysore district, a 15-feet tall sculpture of B.R. Ambedkar.

About Arun Yogiraj
Arun Yogiraj, who comes from a family of five generations of famous sculptors in Mysore, is currently the most sought after sculptor in the country. Arun was sought after by different states in the country due to the need to enhance the monuments of the winners with Arun’s talent. The country’s Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, also appreciated Arun’s talent. Arun is very bold in effectively taking advantage of existing opportunities. This is how demand for his art was created in various states of the country. Arun’s father, Yogiraj was also a talented sculptor.
His grandfather Basavanna Shilpi was sponsored by the King of Mysore. Arun Yogiraj, who belongs to this generation, has also been involved in sculpture since he was a child. After completing his MBA, he worked for a while in a private company. But he could not escape the skills of sculpting that had always been innate to him. So since 2008, he continued his sculpting career.
The 30-foot tall statue of Subhash Chandra Bose by Arun is the center of attraction on the large glass roof behind the Amar Jawan Jyoti behind India Gate. As the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose approaches, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted to install a statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at India Gate to honor his contributions to the freedom struggle which was also approved by the government. Arun Yogiraj supports. Furthermore, he also gifted the Prime Minister a 2-foot tall statue of Subhash Chandra Bose and received his appreciation.
Earlier, Arun Yogiraj had also carved a 12 feet tall statue of Adi Shankaracharya in Kedarnath. 21 feet tall statue of Hanuman at Chunchanakatte in Mysore district, 15 feet tall statue of constitutional architect Dr BR Ambedkar, white amritashila statue of Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa in Mysore, 6 feet tall monolithic statue of Nandi, 6 feet high statue of Banashankari Devi, 14.5 feet high white AmritaShila statue of King of Mysore, Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar and many other idols flourished in the hands of Arun Yogiraj. Many organizations have honored Arun. The Mysore royal family also expressed special admiration for his contribution.
